A night at the opera - Queen

If one song can turn an album into a top ten, then its definely Queens A night at the opera!

There's a few standout songs but Bohemian Rhapsody will always stand the test of time.

Rush - 2112

One of the best concept albums of all time whose themes of sensorship and freedom still hold true today. The standout rockers are :

  • "2112 Overture"
  • "The Temples of Syrinx"
  • "Grand Finale"
  • "Something for Nothing"

Kiss - Debut Album

Being a teen in the 70's, of course I was a member of the Kiss army. Songs like "Firehouse", "Cold Gin","Deuce" and "Strutter" make this debut album, their best.

Kiss is one of those bands that has to be seen live to get the full effect and they're one of a few bands that I've seen more than once.

Tom Petty - Damn the Torpedos

Damn the Torpedos is a great record from start to finish that almost didn't get released. Tom Petty had to file for bankrupcy and change record companies to get it done. He also fought his record company from raising album prices.

"Refugee" has always been one my favorite Petty songs as well as "Don't Do Me Like That","Even the Losers" and "Here Comes My Girl"

Aerosmith - Toys in the Attic

Besides the commercial success of rockers like "Walk This Way" and "Sweet Emotion", the title track "Toys in the Attic" is also one of thier best songs today.
